A Supernatural Evening with Lorraine Warren and Tony Spera.
Saturday March 28th 2009, started out like any normal day for us, but it wouldn’t end that way. We got to Lorraine Warren’s just before 6 p.m. and were greeted by Tony Spera. As we were introducing ourselves Lorraine came out from another room. I looked at her and couldn’t help thinking to myself “I can’t believe I’m here…with Lorraine Warren”.
The evening was full of Lorraine telling us all about her wonderful life with Ed. She told us the story of how they got married, had their daughter Judy (Tony’s wife) and their joyful 62 years of marriage. Of course, we also heard many, many stories of their years working with The New England Society for Psychic Research. Every time Lorraine started to speak, her intriguing stories commanded everyone’s attention. You could actually feel the heart and soul she and Ed placed into their work.
We watched a few short videos including a video of an exorcism performed on a farmer from Massachusetts.
On the tour of their museum, we could see the 50+ years of hard work and dedication. I mean really, they actually took their work home with them, sometimes to protect the previous owners from further harm. The great display of objects collected from years of their hard work together showed their strong dedication to the field of Paranormal Investigation. (See photos for museum photos and more)
Lorraine then took us up stairs to show us her roosters and cats. She has a great love for animals and the utmost respect for all living things. Lorraine told us of how she came to rescue some of them and shared a few heart wrenching stories. The most interesting story was the one about her twin roosters. No one in the farming industry Lorraine spoke to had ever heard of twin roosters.
We left the house and drove to the cemetery where Ed is laid to rest. Tony went over ways to take photos in a cemetery and how to protect ourselves from anything evil we might ever come across. We were then brought to Ed’s gravesite and paid our respects to him and all of his accomplishments. Lorraine says she visits everyday so she can talk to Ed. Ed’s head stone was unbelievable. It was made out of black marble, brought here from China. The side had a carving of Michael, the Archangel fighting off the Devil and the front had their songs, “Sunday Monday Always”, and “Their Hearts are Full of Spring”, written below his name and dates.
Dinner at a nice Italian restaurant topped off the evening. Lorraine continued with stories from their work together and spoke with some of the group about paranormal issues they have encountered. Some of us wanted her to tell us about our auras. Lorraine said she didn’t mind but wouldn’t do it unless specifically asked because she felt like it would be an invasion of their privacy.
We know Lorraine and Tony have a lot of projects in the works. Hopefully they decide to go forward with them so the rest of the world can experience what we saw tonight.
We thank Tony, Lorraine and the late Ed Warren for all they have done and continue to do for the people who can’t fight the evil and darkness on their own. We all look up to them and hope to someday be able to use the knowledge gained that night to help others. Lorraine is a wonderful, loving, devoted, and extraordinary woman, whose faith has guided her through the years. We are grateful to have spent such a wonderful evening with such a knowledgeable mentor.
